We could have a long list of the advantages of JULIUS-K9® dog equipments. Developments which initially were looking for the needs of police, ambulance and search dog forces, made world-wide popular products and they had taken professionalism into everyday’s dog fashion. K9® and IDC® dog harnesses encompassing collars, leashes, dog harnesses make the life of more than a million of dogs and owners to be more comfortable and safe.
The secret of the success lies in the details. Interior design made of carefully selected materials, parts being successful in tensile tests and load tests, plastic parts are made from Swiss materials and last but not least German straps guarantee long lifetime. But not just that. After all, the straps ensure the load capacity, and they embrace the body of our pets, or we hold them as walking leashes, several times a day. Julius-K9® had unambiguously chosen a such German manufacturer, which, with the ÖKO-TEX certification, could ensure skin and environmental friendly materials and finished products.
„During the years we has been investing so much energy into the ergonomic design and design of our products that we don’t want to ruin by using untracable materials imported from distant markets. In order to implement our patents, we primarily decided to use German textile products and common development with their manufacturers.” – as Gyula Sebő, the leader of the Hungarian company says.
In 1961 Helmut and Christel Pfeiffer had started their family business from their own strength and with great enthusiasm – just like founders of JULIUS-K9®, some decades later. Nowadays Pfeiffer GmbH and JULIUS-K9®, striving to the perfect combination of modern technology and traditional values, are special flagships of the textile industry in the European Union. Pfeiffer, who has 50 years’ experience in elastic and static strap manufacturing, contributes to the stability of the most important part of JULIUS-K9® dog harnesses by continuous innovation and the constant improvement of the quality and efficiency. At the beginning, the German company manufactured primarily for the clothing industry, but from 2000 the emphasis was put on light industrial products based on technical solutions. They could react to the changes of the customer needs and the market, so it was not a problem for them to meet the rapidly growing expectations of JULIUS-K9®.
In 2002, the daughter of the founders, Anke Pfeiffer took the control of the company, and she had been working for almost 15 years to create a new chapter in production. In 2016, in Hückeswagen they took possession of a new plant in which the production could be even more productive. In the same year, the new office building and warehouse of JULIUS-K9® had been completed, and by it a European-level logistics center was built – with more than 400 employees – as a successor of the formerly garage company. Both of the companies insist on their committed employees with whom they can think in a mutually long-term –they are constantly expanding.
„Our employees represent 12 countries, they have different origins, languages, culture, religion and mindset. Mutual trust, stable working conditions and fairness has a close bold, which, of course, meets our long-term goals and our client’s interests as well. Last, but not least competent and committed employees contribute to the success of the company. To guarantee the German quality, consistent quality control is needed.95 per cent of our products has the ÖKO-TEX Standard 100 certification“. – as Anke Pfeiffer says.
The cooperation of Pfeiffer and JULIUS-K9® is the school example of the German-Hungarian collaboration; the real winners of the upward-looking career of the two companies are those, who take the finished products into their hands. Let it be so for many years.
