At Julius-K9, the health and comfort of animals have always been at the heart of our activities. It is no coincidence that the company approached the Budapest Zoo with a project focused on the well-being of the animals living there. Dr. Endre Sós, the newly appointed Director General of the Zoo, welcomed Julius-K9’s initiative with great openness. The internationally renowned expert has been working at the City Park institution for nearly thirty years, becoming the Zoo’s Chief Veterinarian in 2003 and later, in 2017, Director of Nature Conservation and Veterinary Affairs. As part of the collaboration, the animals will be treated with the JK9 veterinary soft laser device provided by Julius-K9, helping to heal injuries and improve overall health.
It is well known that the Budapest Zoo & Botanical Garden also operates as a wildlife rescue center, in cooperation with the Hungarian Bird Rescue Foundation. Its clinic provides care for native protected reptiles, birds, and rodents brought in by private individuals. The soft laser devices are equipped with special safe laser technology, which eliminates the extremely dangerous effects of lasers on the eyes. As a result, treatments become easier, and the staff no longer need to wear protective glasses.
The JK9 Pet Laser devices will be launched in the autumn. Thanks to the cooperation between the Budapest Zoo and Julius-K9, we hope to report on many successful recoveries supported by laser therapy in the long term.
