Our company’s world-first innovation, the IDC®Longwalk dog harness, has been honored with a prestigious innovation award. The six-member jury of the German Innovation Award selected our product as the Winner in the Travel, Sports & Outdoor Equipment category after a thorough evaluation covering numerous criteria.
The IDC®Longwalk was developed by Gyula “Julius” Sebő, the inventor of the harness, with the goal of creating a product that follows the dog’s movements seamlessly, relieving pressure on its joints as well as on the handler’s arm. The result is the IDC®Longwalk — the ideal leisure dog harness for longer walks and hikes. This Y-harness stands out due to its three active, elastic elements that respond to the dog’s every movement. Thanks to the DuoFlex® system, which tracks motion and vibration, both the dog and the owner experience significantly reduced impact when the leash tightens. Once the leash is released, the dog moves as freely as if it weren’t wearing a harness at all.
The German Innovation Award aims to highlight products and solutions that are both user-friendly and offer added value within their field. In 2021, more than 680 entries were submitted across over 20 categories. The independent, interdisciplinary jury consists of experts from industry, science, and finance. Evaluation criteria include the level of innovation, user benefits, and efficiency — as well as social, ecological, and economic sustainability, energy and resource usage, market potential, durability, technical quality, and functionality.
The IDC®Longwalk joint-friendly dog harness is one of our company’s most successful developments. In addition to being named a Winner of the German Innovation Award, it has also received a Red Dot Design Award in 2019, a German Design Award in 2020, and was granted special recognition at the Hungarian Innovation Grand Prize.
