Julius-K9 was the first company in Europe 25 years ago to develop and sell bulletproof vests and stab-resistant clothing for military and police dogs. In a wartime situation, the dog saves human lives and often sacrifices its life for the soldiers.
The advent of robot dogs was also foretold by the Terminator and similar film characters. Today, Julius-K9’s task includes creating equipment, harnesses, strap fasteners, and camouflage clothing for robot dogs. The street version of GO-2 also received a dog harness from Julius-K9. During the testing of the robot dog, it was observed that in certain terrain obstacles and when the battery runs low, a professional dog harness with its sturdy handle can assist the controller—or let’s call them the owner.
There are numerous ideas today for the “civilian” use of robot dogs. We believe that the most fortunate direction of development is if the only external similarity between live dogs and robot dogs is the dog harness. We will likely find a place and jobs for robot dogs, which will look significantly different from live dogs, in society quickly.
