Being a city dog, we sometimes take public transport with Mum. I’m not a huge fan for many reasons, but mostly because I have to put on a muzzle. Even though I am a service dog and look cute, this awful thing is still mandatory on the bus and tram. The other thing I have a hard time with is the constant shaking and sudden big brakes. Last time they simply stepped on me. To prevent this, these days Mum always holds me close to protect me from such inconveniences. She also put a harness on me today that has a “handrail” on it, so she could hold me by her side more easily or pull me in the right direction. Don’t get me wrong, it’s just me that calls it a handrail, I’d go pretty badly if Mum tried to hold on to that while off balance; maybe I haven’t mentioned it yet, but I only weigh 13 kilograms. So, we travelled again today and I finally found the real winning position. She sat down, I was at her feet and cast my irresistible gaze in her direction. Of course, within two minutes I was already sitting on her lap. I just looked out the window, watching the trees glide by, while Mum hugged me tightly. Travelling by bus this way isn’t that bad after all 😉
