The story of Julius-K9, the worldwide success of the K9 one-click dog harnesses with hook-and-loop patches, started in a rented garage in Europe. In 1995, two years before the company was officially founded, I started developing dog equipment in a 16 sqm windowless building.

Thanks to my maximalism, we were able to provide the German and Austrian service dogs with perfect equipment in 2005. Our European factories were set up and we were already sourcing a large proportion of our raw materials from Germany.

Our products quickly found their way into the hands of US service dog handlers, and in 2014 we decided to set up a US subsidiary to meet the demand.

I started out again in a rented garage, but this time in Florida, USA. What I really remember is that we packed a lot of stuff at night because of the heat, and our basic equipment was packed into that small space. After service dog owners, harnesses for civilian dog owners started to be produced, but we have never compromised on top quality. And so, the Julius-k9 dog harness became the first fashion dog harness in the history of the world.
