I’m not a big dog park goer as I’m not a big fan of such obligations and I don’t like impolite, pushy dogs either. We usually hang out with the pack outside on a big field or in a forest or walk nice and disciplined on lead. Both of those activities are important to me, for different reasons. One of them poses a more physical, while the other a more mental challenge.
Mum still takes us to the dog park sometimes, she says we need that too. I have to admit I don’t like mixing too much, I simply can’t tolerate my uncontrollable companions, especially the ones that run at me and bark in my face. Not to mention the ones that pick a fight or put me in an uncomfortable position. One of them peed on me while another tried to jump on top of me, to which I expressed my resistance pretty loudly. You wouldn’t believe it but it was actually him that got offended and came at me afterwards. Luckily, he also had a harness on, so Mum could literally pull him off me really easily. You should’ve heard how she shouted at his owner.
He was just like his dog: forgetting himself and telling me off for growling and my Mum for interfering with us “playing”. I don’t know what his idea of playing is, but I can confidently say this wasn’t it. This dog was simply rude and undisciplined, and his owner couldn’t and didn’t even want to control him. I always agree with Mum when she talks about how owners should be educated better. We dogs are what you turn us into, willingly or unwillingly.
