We would like to mention one of their many applications; they assist rescue dogs in their work during their mission. Julius-K9® harnesses are used by Members of the Paw in Hands Association primarily on Border Collie, Malinois and Labrador Retriever dogs, but we have also tested and used them successfully on dogs with extreme anatomy, such as American Bulldogs.
1. A torch can be easily attached for better visibility, this helps both the dog and the dog handler.
2. In addition to visibility, it is also important to hear where the dog is, as in a dense forest I do not see the dog all the time, even when using a torch. In such cases a bell is a great help (we use bear bells), it gives a sense of security that I can hear where the dog is. This bell can be attached to the harness with a single movement.
3. The handle allows quick grip and release, there is no need to bother with a leash and a collar.
Moving in dog owner circles, we often see improperly adjusted harnesses. If a harness corresponding to the anatomy and size of the dog is selected, there will be no problem, it will fit the body of the dog perfectly. There is no need to worry about the harness rubbing the skin, or being too tight, or the dog getting out of it.
For us it is important that the dog can move freely while searching for missing people, Julius-K9® harnesses allow unimpeded, active movement.
We are happy to use them outside work as well, in our leisure time, for hiking, other sports activities, or the daily walks. They are even suitable for sleeping in. 🙂 Besides the many colours and patterns to choose from, you can select a label as well, to make your harness unique.
